For search engines
Crawlers start at the sitemap index, which points at one sitemap per group of pages. Between them those carry the same pages as this list, plus each one's last-modified date and its language alternates. They leave out the sections above on purpose: those are parts of a page rather than pages, and a sitemap lists documents.
